Everyone Loves It Doggy Style

Out with the old and in with the new.  The second Cheese steak Sandwich shop from the Yo! Philly spot has gone out of business.  That person was in business for a brief moment of time and got out of the game already.  The new shop that is coming in is Doggy Style.  I am to assume that the shop will be selling gourmet hot dogs and not grooming products or services for canines.  I love hot dogs.

I was the owner of Philly Express and I was there for 6 months! I sold it to the guys that wanted to do a hot dog place
Philly Express was doing well but it was too far of a commute(I live in San Ramon) I wish the new owners all the luck in the world

I went to Doggy Style Friday and we tried 4 dogs (shared them) the All-American, the Chicago, The Calabrese and the Southern dog with Chili (can't recall the exact name). The dogs themselves were great and the toppings for the most part were very good. Chili was on the hot side, but he slaw on the All-American was wonderful. However, I have one major complaint, the rolls were huge and hard - yuck. This will probably will keep me from returning. To me a hot dog should be served on a soft steamed roll - not a hard french roll. Please change the rolls or at least offer and option of rolls.

I've been back to Doggy Style a few times and the dogs were consistent and always delicious. I'm actually a huge fan of the toasted buns. I've asked and they get fresh bun deliveries every morning and are custom made for the hot dogs. Just the perfect size. I actually wanted to buy a few packs of buns but they were almost sold out! Will have to go back to pick up some buns for my weekend BBQ. Toppings are generous and the specialty dogs are amazing! :P
